QuintessArt is now only available on the Amazon Android App store because the
application has been completely removed from the Google Android market with
evasive reasons such as Terms Of Service violation (which ones please ?) and no more explanation. The app
were downloaded by more than 20 000 android owners ...
We have built a website http://gallery.quintessart.com that tried to reproduce as far as possible QuintessArt experience for everyone and put a simple link to this website with a tiny chrome application (our app was exactly the same as this one !, a simple link to great artworks). This small app were integrated by more than 13 000 people... small numbers but great ones.
We received an email yesterday notifying the removal of this last application:

wait...wait...All these contents are publicly available images of masterpieces (yes, they are recognized "masterpieces") of 33 most famous painters like Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Gustave Courbet, Leonard de Vinci,Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Gustave Klimt, Camille Corot,Johannes Vermeer, Paul Cezanne, Edgar Degas,Eugene Delacroix,Francisco Goya, Diego Velasquez, Rembrandt, Sandro Boticelli, Eugene Boudin, Brueghel, Gustave Caillebotte, Caravaggio, Camille Pissarro, Rubens, Tintoret, Auguste Renoir, Bouguereau, Ingres, Rousseau, Modigliani, Seurat, Signac, Bazille, Poussin, Juan gris ...
Wait...wait...isn't it a non sense that Google itself proposes and develops the Google Art Project (link) and that the Google Chrome team does not like QuintessArt, more... bans QuintessArt ?
So, if you, internet user, art lover, like the goal of QuintessArt or if you have a passion for this kind of censored "porn" contents proposed by QuintessArt, you will continue to find them at http://gallery.quintessart.com and via the applications from Amazon Appstore
(By the way)We recommend a great site ArtRenewal, the greatest initiative, as far as we know, to spread Art knowledge. They have the hugest art database that we know...and consequently a lot more contents that will not match Google TOS. But if you are an art lover or an artist, this site is simply necessary. They are a model for our team. We hope this message will bring them more subscribers :-)
We are a small team, we cannot fight back the platform system as it is oriented now. The question is what is next ? Perhaps we will receive a notification that this blog has been shut down because it links to QuintessArt contents ?
(Update) ... this morning (Feb, 27th of 2012), our blog MasterdevX was not available or shut down:
There may be some twitter users, bloggers, tech lovers that could read this unbelievable, weird and crazy story ...
We'll do our possible to maintain our educational contents but simply with less guaranty (it is costfull & time-consuming with no revenues for the moment)...behind MasterDevX there are hardworking guys, motivated people to spread art knowledge as far as possible but with other occupations. Art is a passion, we'll do our possible.
...one more thing: what is the difference between QuintessArt tiny chrome app (it was just a link to artworks available on this page http://gallery.quintessart.com) and this chrome app ? Structure, gameplay, educative goal are similar ... if we follow the reason why our app was removed, their contents could be far... really far more problematic than ours ...Oh... of course, we are not so famous ...nevermind. A small team.

you consider these educational contents, recognized artworks, greatest
